She's a beauty wouldn't you say?  She's absolutely a fabulous shade of red and is sure to cheer you up.

Cherry Blossom - our latest addition!

I'm giddy about this new basket! "Cherry Blossom" arrives just in time for spring! It will compliment black and other neutral colours. It is really gorgeous in person!

We have a beautiful new basket that replaces the Caribbean one that's been discontinued.

Periwinkle is a fresh new colour, perfect for young and old... er. Makes a perfect gift for the mother or family of a brand new baby boy, but is not limited to that. If blue is your favourite colour, or if it matches your eyes, you'll want to check this one out!

Folding Basket is a Hit at the Wine Store

Here it is Saturday evening and I've just returned from the neighbourhood wine store, where the cashier exclaimed that I'd just won the award for the best re-usable wine tote! Of course there was no prize, just the pride that I felt when the man remarked on my folding basket and how perfect it is for carrying my wine home without plastic or paper.


This particular folding basket is the small Classic Navy and easily accommodates 4 bottles of wine. As I like to be co-ordinated in colour, I chose something that goes with my blue jeans, and sets off my pink top.

Have a Zen Moment with Your Basket

Wow, where has the time gone? I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted here!

I was having a zen moment on my way home from a Pilates class this morning, and I want to share my experience with you. This basket is perfect for a trip to the gym. Lots of room for a water bottle and towel and a yoga mat fits perfectly across the top. Zippered pocket accommodates all those things we cannot bear to be without, like an iphone, a little cash, and keys (for your car or bicycle lock!). Don't you just love spring?

I love it when we get a new pattern or colour of basket, and here is our latest addition - a beautiful, cranberry red stripe. But honestly calling it "Cranberry Red Stripe" doesn't do it for me, and probably not for you either.

So here's a challenge for you: Submit your idea of a great name between now and Friday, September 4, 2009. The one who submits the winning name will be awarded a basket of her/his choice. But that's not all. Rose Garden & Classic Navy

Wow! These are both hot sellers and they look magnificent together. Perfect for all occasions, but especially great as New Baby Gifts! You know... pink for girls, blue for boys.

I'm Excited About the New Additions!

Classic Navy & Rose Garden were delivered today! I am very pleased to say that they are all I could have hoped for.

The navy is very traditional with a little pale silver/grey piping to set it off. Believe me, the photo does not do it justice.

Rose Garden is a beautiful shade of pink with a rose pattern on it. The colours are magnificent for the young and the.. we shall say... sophisticated.

Both are perfect for personal use, and for any gift giving occasion! Which reminds me - I have a bridal shower and 2 weddings to attend this month. All I need is to find out the brides colours and I will be able to choose the right one to stuff with Tupperware! That will be perfect!

I'll be picking out an outfit to set one of them off tomorrow. I'll let you know what I hear on the streets. They are sure to be attention grabbers!

Fantastic New Additions!

We requested navy and we got it! "Classic Navy"! A very good traditional colour that goes well with our West Coast lifestyle!

All the little girls and big girls too will want our latest addition, "Rose Garden". It's very pretty in pink!

The Latest Addition Is Sage Garden!

Here it is! The latest addition to the garden collection arrived today! "Sage Garden" is a lovely combination of pale green flowers and brown leaves on a sage background. It is - like all the others - a must have. Look for me out and about with it. I just know it will attract a lot of attention!

Metro Vancouver Board wants Provincial Ban on Plastic Bags

The Metro Vancouver board passed a resolution Friday asking the B.C. government to ban single-use disposable shopping bags. Read the story:

Vancouver Moves to Ban the Plastic Bag

I heard today that Vancouver City Council is considering banning plastic bags altogether in this fair city of ours, using the model that San Francisco has demonstrated. Australia and several other countries have already done away with plastic bags; China has ended free ones. I think Vancouverites will welcome the chance to do their part in reducing the pollution from discarded plastic bags, and to help reduce our dependence on oil, from which plastic bags are made.

Aren't you glad we have an alternative to the plastic bag, or any bag for that matter? We won't even notice when the plastic bag is gone!

Susie Wall's On-line Flare Magazine Article Features These Baskets!

Naturally I was thrilled, when Susie Wall phoned to say, that her sister had given her a basket and she was so taken with it, that she wanted to feature the baskets in an article in the on-line Flare Magazine!

Her article suggests how great the baskets are for picnics... which of course they are, but don't forget all the other excuses we have to use them!
